Bud Cobb was from Farmville, NC and played with the Wilson - Greenville - Kinston - Goldsboro checker gang playing at Heath's welding shop and local tournaments.  Their king pin, of course was Mr. H.O. Baldree.  Bud played the NC State Tournament in Kinston and Eastern in Williamston in 2006.  His ACF rating was 1833 at that time.  We miss him as a friend and as a checker player.  He was one of the most affable fellows you will ever meet.  Below is his funeral program.
